The Indian Army has released an official notification for the recruitment of women candidates under SSC Tech. A total of 30 vacancies is available. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official Indian Army website.

Educational Qualification:

Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech degree in the notified Engineering streams from recognized Universities/Institutions by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities/Autonomous Universities under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act 1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007 and IIIT Act 2024.

For Final Year Students: Candidates studying in the final year of Engineering degree course are eligible to apply. They must submit proof of passing Engineering Degree Examination along with marksheets of all semesters/years by 01 October 2026 and produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at PCTA.

Important Note: All final year appearing candidates whose final year/final semester exam will be scheduled after 01 October 2026 are not eligible to apply for this course.

Marital Status:

• Only unmarried female candidates are eligible to apply
• Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness are eligible, provided they have not remarried
• Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor be allowed to live with Parents/Guardians
• A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of application, though successful at SSB interview and medical examination, will not be inducted for training.

Age Limit (as on 01 October 2026)

• For General Candidates:
  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 27 years
  • Date of Birth: Candidates must be born between 01 October 1999 and 30 September 2006 (both dates inclusive)
• For Widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel:
  • Maximum Age: 35 years as on 01 October 2026
