Educational Qualification (as on 21.08.2026):

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government

Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the specified/opted local language of the State/UT they apply for (see Local Language Proficiency Test section)

Computer Literacy: Mandatory – a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations, or having studied Computer/IT as a subject in High School/College

IBPS Clerk Application Fee: The application fee (inclusive of GST) must be paid online between 01.08.2026 and 21.08.2026:

• SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates: ₹175

• All other candidates: ₹850

BPS Clerk – Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026): Minimum 20 years, Maximum 28 years (born not earlier than 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2006)

• Age: 20–28 years – SC/ST: +5 years

• OBC (NCL): +3 years

• PwBD: +10 years – Ex-Servicemen: As per rules

• Eligible for Widows/Divorced/Legally Separated Women: As per rules (up to 35/38/40 years)

Selection Process: Online Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, Local Language Proficiency Test
